TABLE MANNER IN GERMANY

for this time, I will discuss about tablle manners in Germany. this is important for we , if one day we are invited  by Gernab friends for dinner or if you are vacation or study in Germny.
When invited to eat at his house, according to the custom in Germany we are advised to bring something as a gift to the host.

        wait for all to sit and get food. In germany sometimes one table food doesn’t  come together.
Before start to eat you must say ‘Guten Appetit’.
        In germany, it is a rule of thumb to hold the fork in the left and knife in the right hand throughtout  the entire meal.

Don’t let your elbow touch the table.

if you eat meat ,don’t cut it into pieces at once. but, cut it small then eat it before you cut it again.

place the napkin in your lap while eating , use it when needed. place the napkin next to the plate when you finish eating.

When you are finished with your meal, lay the  utensils at an angle on the plate. The tips of the fork  and knife should be in the center of the plate and the handles should lay on the bottom right of the plate.

Don’t have food left on the plate.
